A huge welcome to our new Head Chef, Edward Dutton, who joins us from Claridge’s in London. And what a moment to step into the kitchen - we’ve just been named 17th Best Pub in the UK by The Good Food Guide and featured in the Top 50 Gastropubs list with Estrella Damm UK for the second year running. Plenty of celebrating here in our cosy corner of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds!
With training under Shane Osborn at Pied à Terre and Chris Staines at Foliage and over two decades of experience, Edward has been heading up Claridge's 5 Red Star, 3 AA Rosette kitchen. And despite all our consistent years of foodie awards, we think you’ll agree that the food coming out of our kitchen now is the best it’s ever been.
We’re also thrilled to welcome Rob Mason as our Senior Sous chef. Rob joins us from The Cottage in the Woods, Malvern where he ran a hugely successful 3 Rosette menu, also having plenty of Michelin star experience under his belt as well.
