We’ve got some very happy news to share - The Killingworth Castle has landed a refreshed spot at number 37 in the Top 50 Gastropubs in the UK for 2026, and we couldn’t be more chuffed.
Being included alongside some of the country’s best gastropubs means a lot to us. It’s a real nod to what we’re all about here at The Killy: great food, proper hospitality, and a place that feels warm and welcoming every time you walk through the door.
Why It Means So Much
The Top 50 Gastropubs list celebrates pubs that do things properly - consistently good cooking, thoughtful drinks, and an atmosphere that keeps people coming back. To be recognised again for 2026 is something we’re incredibly proud of, especially as we head into an exciting new chapter with our new Head Chef leading the kitchen.
